Legal Expenses

Our policies provide access to expert legal advice in a range of situations which includes: 

  • Personal injury – pursuing action against a third party following a road traffic collision  
  • Uninsured loss recovery – to help recover uninsured losses following an accident  
  • Vehicle servicing and repair disputes – Costs to pursue or defend civil legal action relating to testing, servicing or repair of the insured vehicle 
  • Motor Prosecution Defence – Costs to defend criminal legal action taken against you as a result of a driving offence 

As part of the legal package, we can also provide access to accident management services.  This allows claims to be reported 24/7.  A dedicated claims handler can then help find the most appropriate solution to ensure you claim is dealt with as efficiently as possible.  Experienced claims handlers will liaise with insurers, vehicle repairers, engineers and third parties on your behalf.  The accident management team can help with hire vehicles, credit repairs and out of pocket expenses.

Replacement Vehicle Insurance

This policy is designed to arrange for a like for like vehicle to be provided whilst yours is rendered undriveable following a road traffic collision, fire, attempted theft, theft of parts, malicious damage or un-recovered theft. Having access to a replacement vehicle following a fault claim is often seen as a vital cover. 

Unfortunately, some delays following a claim are unavoidable. Often they are held up through no fault of the policyholder – garages waiting for parts, repairs held up due to holiday periods. If this is to happen would being without your vehicle for several days, possibly weeks cause you a problem? If yes you should consider the benefits of a guaranteed replacement vehicle policy. 

It is worth noting that typically claims are restricted to two per year with a maximum hire period of 28 days per period of insurance. Supply of a vehicle is always subject to availability.

Annual Breakdown Policy

If you have ever broken down you will know only too well the difficulties and costs involved in trying to get your vehicle recovered. You will also have the pressing problem of how you will continue to your destination or get your paying passengers to theirs. 

Having an annual breakdown policy will give you a 24 hour helpline, where an operator will arrange the roadside repair for your vehicle, alternatively they will organise onward travel to your destination or home address within the territorial limits.

Key Care Policy

It is not until you lose your keys, you realise the cost of replacing them, and if you have been unlucky enough to be in this situation you will understand the cost and inconvenience involved. 

Our specialist key care product covers up to £1,500 for eventualities such as the keys being lost or stolen. This includes cover for locksmith charges, new locks if required and replacement keys.
